On 14 October 1999, Vassilev Maritime Limited established a 99% owned subsidiary, Vassilev Maritime Nakliyat ve Dis Ticaret Limited Sirketi in Istanbul. During a gale storm, the vessel was thrown by the waves on the rocky beach in the vicinity of Kilyos at the Black Sea entrance of the Bosporus Straits. The whole crew was rescued and repatriated. The vessel was declared total loss.
